The World, From My Eyes

"I step aside, turn around and look naively at the world evolving around me. I surprise myself for things I've taken for granted. It's about the tiny little piece of thoughts hailed from the bottom of my mind. It's about an appreciation, expression, discovery, compassion or simply a random scribble of a soul. I believe that life's too precious to be squandered away with the mundane. It's my life. And I'm living it. The world from my eyes, an utter manifestation."

8th month of wonderfulness

The day I became his and he became mine.
Today is our 8th monthiversary. Alhamdulillah, and yay! It's only the 8th but it pleasantly feels like the 1000th. Hehe. And here I am still in Limerick while dear hubby is hurtfully there in Cork- both separated miles away for job's sake. Though I am enjoying my current vascular rotation for its free style, I am silently counting days to be together with him in the 2nd week of April, that's the time when my maternity leave starts. Can't wait to stay with him and be a fulltime housewife. *smiling to the ears*
But wait a sec, that means that the tiny grumbler in my tummy is 35 weeks old at the time- weehoo! We are closer to being parents at a young age ya? Err is 25 young by the way? Hehe.
Last night was a night of its kind where I felt so down and tearful. People say that women tend to be more sensitive when they're pregnant that they could shed tears for simple matters or for no reason at all, isn't it? So let's put the blame on that ok. While I'm pregnant I always ensure myself that I'll get to eat what I want, kind of supposing that it is for the baby anyway. Haha what an excuse. My husband is the most powerful witness who observes my crazy appetite with his own naked eyes. I want to eat everything! Or rather, have or buy everything. Because I don't necessarily finish them all *sigh*. No I don't long those difficult food that you would have to climb a tree or swim in a sea full of piranhas in order to get them. I'm just an innocent mommy-to-be *batting eyelids* who just wants to taste various simple stuff.

At the moment I can't help myself from eating at least 5 clementines in a day that my husband goes "Sukanya dia makan limauu!". I also stock up apples, strawberries and bananas at home. These are my weapons to fight off gruesome constipations. Bear in mind I eat sweet fruits only, or at least not too sour. If they aren't, the fate is that they will be left unattended to for longer than they should that they become too unsightly to swallow or I'll pass them to the hubby. Hehe.
I don't have pregnancy cravings. Alhamdulillah. Even if I do that is just because I am in an unfamiliar land owned by those white people called Irish, who don't routinely eat food that we use to eat back home. That we can't simply leave the house in the morning thinking 'I can skip my breakfast at home cause I can possibly grab nasi lemak or mee goreng or roti canai at the canteen after the ward round'. Because they just don't exist in the canteen. *sigh* And believe it or not I'm brushing up my cooking skills because of this fact! (Okay this needs to be written in another entry.)
I am kind of kempunan fried kuey teow. (Do they have 'kempunan' in English?). Some misunderstandings on my side occured that I missed the kuey teow prepared by one of my housemates. And they were finished last night when I realised :(.

Uncooked kuey teow is not easy to find except in Asian stores in the city centre. With that I will have to need my husband to bring me there or to buy me some as I don't believe in myself taking the bus and finding the shop of God-knows-where in this state of health, alone at 26 weeks.

I remember when we went to Dublin in my early pregnancy my hubby brought me to this one Malaysian restaurant to have dinner. And you know what I ordered? Fried kuey teow :(.
So that's it, felt so sad last night. Hubby won't be down in Limerick for the weekend like what he normally does so I don't think there's a chance to get the kuey teow anytime soon. More importantly as he won't be around I will be home alone this weekend, making me feel even sadder. He just has more important things to do end of this week :(.

Last night we managed to as usual recite Al-Mulk together on the phone before he went to bed early as he was post-call. He really sounded restless after those long hours of work. Then when I realised about the kuey teow thing I rang him again but he didn't pick up. I wanted to talk to him and share my feelings. He must have been sleeping like a baby. Poor him. Couldn't help to have tears rolling down my cheek. I missed him so much.
Then I went browsing the internet when I remembered that today is our 8th month of being married, after looking at the marriage timeline on my blog that I hardly visit nowadays.

So chin up Sarah. Life is not just about fried kuey teow isn't it? There's a lot of other things to be thankful of in this world.
I thank the Ever Forgiving and Merciful Allah for this wonderful gift- my hubby.
"Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny?"
[Ar-Rahman, 55:13]
Wallahua'lam.
