We went down to the Acute Medical Assessments Unit (AMAU) this afternoon as part of our ward round to take a look at how one of our patients was progressing. As you know I worked in AMAU in my first rotation i.e. for about 3 months starting from the beginning of July 2011. That was the rotation in which I discovered I got pregnant and missed a few days of work following bad abdominal pain in early pregnancy. Hadn't been down in AMAU for a good couple of months.
Nurse: Hey Sarah how are you keeping?
Me: Good, good.
Registrar: I am lucky huh, I have 2 people working for me (me and baby).
Hehe.
