The World, From My Eyes

"I step aside, turn around and look naively at the world evolving around me. I surprise myself for things I've taken for granted. It's about the tiny little piece of thoughts hailed from the bottom of my mind. It's about an appreciation, expression, discovery, compassion or simply a random scribble of a soul. I believe that life's too precious to be squandered away with the mundane. It's my life. And I'm living it. The world from my eyes, an utter manifestation."

Bookworm- not!

Those who know me might realise that I am such a poor reader. Books and I just can't find our way along together. Let alone a history book, I can doze off just after finishing a short paragraph.
My husband on the other hand, is the other way around. He is crazy over books that popping into a bookshop when out shopping is kind of a compulsory thing, which often bore me quite a lot. Hehe. I know he actually wants to encourage me into reading too, that he won't mind buying me books if I am interested in any while he runs through from shelf to shelf.
I somehow fell into his trap when I saw this book placed on a front display, showing an offer sticker on its cover. Entitled "New baby care: A practical guide to the first three years" by Dr Miriam Stoppard.. And so 09/04/12 saw me buying this book in Eason bookstore in Cork, largely because it was discounted, after having been convinced by my hubby to have one once he detected my initial keenness.

The book itself is not disappointing on its own, and to my surprise I managed to finish reading it first round way before I actually have my baby, now am rereading the book to note the important points again. It is fairly light and easy to digest therefore suitable for a first time mother-to-be like me. I personally would suggest it to anyone who is looking for how-to baby books.

A good friend of mind sent me an email yesterday to let me know about a book she finds useful for her, an Islamic pregnancy book entitled "Heaven Under Your Feet: Pregnancy for Muslim Women". She is also pregnant in her first trimester and said that this book might actually be a bit too late to begin to read, considering my baby can be out at anytime now. However I reckon I'm planning to have more children so having another book on pregnancy won't be any harm as it is going to be worthwhile sooner or later. It is about knowledge anyway isn't it.

So what I did was I quickly ordered the book online on amazon.co.uk, cheap enough the price was and now can't wait for it to arrive to my door! Not having the book in my hands I can't comment on it as yet, as to what is it like. So we'll see! :)
