I know i shouldn't be doing this. Piles of works to sort out but here i am exuding whatever my heart wanted to say and letting my fingers manifest them into words onto this screen. It was the evening which 'all' (i would say) Malaysians have been longing for, The International Medical Students Dinner. At last it came alive after a pretty long wait.
It was awesome, particularly on the food. The dinner was sup
erb, choices of salmon, chicken in mushroom sauce (i think), coleslaw, baked potato, 'kuskus' (the so-called Arabic dish), baguette, bread, rice, veges- that's all i can remember. Next the dessert was this cream puff with chocolate syrup, cream and cranberries. What else would u wish for? Each of us got 5 cream puffs and i was like, do they want to see our stomachs burst or something? They all left me with a crammed gastrointestinal pouch which really pushed its capacity to its limits. Anyway alhamdulillah, rezeki jgn ditolak. Its an annual event anyhoo.
I had the chance to hand a simple gift from Malaysia to Ann Monahan. I really value her empathy towards me when i had the difficulty dealing with the airline company at the critical moments i lost my bag. She was touched as i said that its a loss to have her retired next May. Yes it came from the bottom of my heart. Even she herself mentioned to me that she feels that my sponsor was not being concerned enough in helping me to cope with such situation. I concur with that, exactly. Well what to do, anyhow i feel thankful to Allah for granting me such a responsible international students officer like her who offered me a helping hand.
Otherwise it was not very good to see all the ladies and blokes pretty much mixed around in an uncontrolled situation. Also some people with their 'wonderful'-and-not-normally-seen outfits which can make us give a second glance or leave the eyes widely opened. Astaghfirullahalazim. Being a camera freak is never erroneous, given that we behave. As in behave in a correct way promoted by our religion, not only behave in a way we think is correct. Just if u get me. A situation which was apparently out of my hand. How i wish the situation wasn't that bad. A piece of remorse slowly builds up beneath my skin. Not to say that i'm good, no, not at all. Me myself had to fight with such temptations of being a 'social' person. Who wants to be in solitary anyway. I might not be as good and i sincerely pray that Allah will shield us from any wrongdoings that is deviated from the right path. Ameen.
'Say: "Tell me, if it (the Qur'an) is from Allah, and you disbelieve in it? Who is more astray than one who is in apposition far away (from Allah's Right Path and His obedience)'
'And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.'
