After much deliberation and deep thought my husband and I have decided that we will hire a bibik or maid to care after Maryam. She hasn't had a dedicated maid yet to manage all her daily needs. We are paying an extra incentive to this house's preexisting maid to help me manage Maryam plus I am at home too most of the time as I haven't resumed work.
Thinking that my job requires me to be in the hospital at odd times too and my husband is busy with her work as well, we deem that having a dedicated maid has become a necessity.
After such a long wait (and a good lot of dough too!) Maryam's bibik has arrived in Malaysia. She is now staying at our auntie's house for the time being while we prepare the documentations required for her immigration permit to be issued. Will have to go to Putrajaya some time next week to get this sorted and take her home.
I am nervous, very nervous to have her as our maid. I pray to Allah that she is beriman, and is excellent at looking after a child, plus the other bonus points like hardworking, smiles a lot and soft-spoken.
Ya Allah, please grant the best for us.
Ya Allah help us to nurture Maryam to become a great muslimah.
